Welcome back! Hopefully you enjoyed our Thanksgiving break with well deserved relaxation and time with family and friends!

THANK YOU to all who participated in our California Healthy Kids Survey! When we get our results, we will share with everyone. Job well done folks!


We kick off our week with our Canned Food Drive. Both our ASB and our CTE Students are encouraging their peers to contribute to support families in need in Santee. Thank you to all who encourage donations!

WHHS is going to Camp Lead! Dec. 10-12...we're still looking for a few wonderful folks to join us!

The Winter Formal ‘Jingle Ball’ will be at Liberty Station’s McMillin Event Center on December 12th, from 7 to 10:30pm. Please let students know tickets are $25 per person and it will be a wonderful event!

WINTER SPORTS have begun! Please cheer on our athletes in Wrestling, Boys and Girls Soccer, Boys and Girls Basketball, Girls Water Polo, Roller Hockey and Academic League!

Week of Nov.16-20, 2015

A week of Thankfulness...and some reminders....

Thank you to all period 3 teachers for participating in our LEAVES of THANKFULNESS! From our wonderful PBIS team:

Now that we are well into November the PBIS team has linked with ASB in a Gratitude/Thankfulness Campaign.  We all have something to be thankful for and sharing those messages of gratitude helps to foster a positive climate.  The article Why Gratitude is Good, written by UC Davis Psychology Professor,Robert A. Emmons, Ph.D has more information regarding the positive physical, psychological, and social impact of gratitude.

ASB will be placing paper leaves in 3rd period teacher boxes Thursday. We would like teachers to pass out the leaves  on Friday during 3rd period, asking students to write one thing they are thankful for.  They do not have to write their names if they do not want.  ASB will come around 5th period to collect the leaves.  The leaves will then be displayed on a tree in the office.​ 

​If your leaves do not get collected please put them in the designated leaf box in the VP office.

Thanks you so much for your support and help making West Hills a safe and positive place for students to learn and grow.

ADMIN is looking for 4 FUN FACULTY to JOIN our HUMAN FOOSBALL Team! I am told it is not too athletic (how can it be...I'm doin' it??!!) and quite a few laughs...) so PLEASE JOIN US...let ROBIN know if you are up for it...MONDAY student lunch  it all begins...don't think we're playing Monday just need to give our names to ASB. Come on...Kids will love to try to beat us!

ACADEMIC LEAGUE: Tuesday, November 10 at 3:30 in S-8 WHHS takes on Steele Canyon after a "bye" week. Come cheer on our team as we start our new season!

Wednesday, November 11, is VETERAN'S Day. Thank You to all Veteran's and their families for their service and sacrifice to our country. Read a little history of the day if you are so inclined...

Saturday November 14 is the West Hills Foundation GALA. Thank you to all who have bought tickets, donated to the event and have supported these efforts! 

CONGRATULATIONS to ALL of our Fall Sports! Well done as many teams go on to compete in CIF. More can be found at: http://www.eastcountysports.com/  and by typing in the search box the sport of interest. 

Cross Country: SATURDAY, Nov. 14...cheer on our runners this week as they look towards LEAGUE FINALS!

Friday night, Nov. 13 is another chance to see our amazing Fall Play: Anne Frank and Me...For all DramaKids' productions, all WHHS staff are invited and encouraged to bring their families. Thus, all tickets for staff and their guests are free. Simply go into the Lobby and show your ID badge.
