Mission Accomplished at the Board Meeting Monday, 1/22...The Board unanimously approved the naming of our gym after Dave Hunter. Thank you to all for your support and those who attended the meeting to support our petition! Particular love and respect to Mr. Bob Guess, first Principal as he joined us at the meeting.

In addition, our School Resource Officer, Deputy Marcos Collins and his fellow SROs were recognized for their dedication and service with our schools. We are very PROUD of Deputy Collins and his wonderful work with West Hills students,  parents, faculty and staff! That old saying "You can't keep a good man..." rings true. We are very sad to announce that he has accepted a promotion to Juvenile Detective in the Vista Sheriff office and his last day at WHHS  will be February 12. Please join us in wishing him well throughout the day in the main office...we are VERY SAD to see you go Deputy Collins, but you will be a wonderful addition to the youth and community in Vista!

And lastly for this week...big THANK YOU to our ART students and Mr. VanDyke for continuing to beautify our Admin walls...love the art and the display of students work in WL -7 available on various student lunch times during the week!

GREAT KINDNESS CHALLENGE: Week of January 22-26, 2018: Part of our "We are One, We are the Pack" positive school activities is coming up. We will be giving each Period 3 teacher one handout for each student for Monday, January 22 to use during that week.

Our terrific ASB will be leading on campus activities (see this link for their message and a list of activities) and we will have notices in the bulletin and on our marquee about KINDNESS. Please use these hashtags to promote / share experiences on social media: #TheWestHillsWay, #WHHSCares

We hope EVERYONE on campus will participate and support this effort through kind words, deeds and actions. YOU will get the same handout for ideas as well! Lucky for us, we typically do this ALL the time and it is just bringing more awareness to these ideas and attitudes that can help our entire school community. Parents will know of this as well via our "Wolf Call" so hopefully they might pick up ideas for their families to participate as well.
