Thank you to all for your grace, adaptability, patience, creativity, and CONTINUING ON in the face incredible adversity, challenges, and hopefully, many successes! Although this is ¨Finals Week¨, this really means ¨our final formal week with students¨.  A few key reminders:

(1) Teachers: Please prepare your classrooms for SUMMER CLEANING. Please remove personal items from your shelves / desk / classroom so when custodians come to deep clean floors, windows, counters, desks etc, they do not bump or accidentally damage any of your cherished items. Also removing as many items from surface areas allow for additional cleaning if at all possible. If you have too many textbooks or items on the counters--don´t fret! Your classroom will still be cleaned and sanitized. Friday June 5 is a contractual work day and this might be the perfect day to come to campus to get this done.

Fall 2015 Final Grades - University Calendar - Montclair State ...

Final Grades for Seniors are critical to Graduation.  Please notify Guidance and Carrie Gaeir ASAP for any Senior who earns an "F".

All Final Grades for all students are due to Bert Novicio by Friday, June 5 at 3:00 p.m. No final grade may be lower than grades on Friday, March 13. It can be higher of course and NO CITIZENSHIP grades need be entered.

Please also remember to check into Destiny any textbooks checked out to students they might have been left in your room on Friday, March 13.

(2) Classified Staff: clean and move personal items off of your personal space (Admin. building exception--we are cleaning out the entire building as we prepare to move to the B-Building) so custodial can conduct their deep cleaning of floors, windows, and desks as much as possible this summer.

(3) Summer School: April Baker is the AP in charge of summer school. All of summer school will continue in an online format June 9-30. Students have been notified and teachers are in place. Thank you to all willing to continue to work in this online environment!

Reminders for Everyone:

Please keep our Admin Cell phones in your phone. This is the best way to communicate with us in the next few weeks as we are in the process of moving to the B-Building after around June 10. Renovation time lines are always guesstimates¨ and we expect to be out of this building through the first 5-8 weeks into the Fall semester. (But hopefully not....we will see!)

School Board approves 2020-21 school calendar - Prince William ...

The GUHSD has created a 2020-21 Committee to evaluate our plan for Fall 2020. Principals and one A.P. were asked to serve along with District Staff and representatives from all three labor union leadership. Sub-Committees include Instruction and Learning; Physical Health and Safety with Facilities; and Co-Curricular programs, transportation, and food services. We are asked to meet over the next 4 weeks and present a plan to the Board for the July Board meeting for their approval.  Two resources below were given to us (as well as others) as we look at the local conditions in the East County regarding when and how we might come back together in person. More information to come.

School Districts Will Decide When to Re-Open Schools

Teachers,

We are pleased to share this year’s Bright Bytes survey with you. If you’ve been with us for a while, you will recognize this annual survey related to technology and learning in our district. Technology is a critical component of a student’s learning landscape and we strive to use it purposefully and in a way that creates meaning for our learners. Your input helps us to determine how effectively the tools we offer are being used, what we should celebrate, and where we can continue to grow.

Please take a few moments to complete the survey. Once you click the link, you will be asked to identify your role (Student, Teacher, Parent) and then to indicate your school site. The rest is anonymous. Data from this survey has been used to inform instructional shifts, purchasing decisions, Professional Development offerings for teachers, programs of interest, and more. This year, we have added several custom questions related to your Distance Learning Experience. Your responses will be used to help us continue to improve our Instructional Technology program and we appreciate your time and thoughtfulness in responding.

If you have any questions related to this survey, please contact tiffanibrown@guhsd.net.

If you have any questions related to this survey, please contact tiffanibrown@guhsd.net.
