Saturday, Nov. 5 deadline for submissions please. If you have an item of interest, with an image or photo preferably, that we can include for the November edition, please send it to me by Saturday, Nov. 5. YOUR content creates this vital link to parents--it is sent out via Infinite Campus to every student and parent and is linked on our website. What type of content are we looking for?

All Coordinators / Directors--EL, AVID, GATE, ATHLETICS, MUSIC, CHOIR, BAND, ART, CTE, and DEPARTMENT CHAIRS could submit items of interest for parents. Photos and a brief description of what students are doing in class--fund raisers, trips to Costa Rica, Spain, Europe etc that are trying to gather student participants, BRAGGING about student performance, "Looking down the Road" for Guidance and College Going or other items of interest. WE ARE MARKETING and SHARING with our Community so don't be shy--submit away and be seen! ATTENDANCE and SCHOOL NURSE information, LIBRARY and CHROMEBOOK reminders, FINE NOTICE and LOST and FOUND...anything and everything to do with WHHS makes up the "Wolf Call". We welcome any and all submissions. Speaking of involvement....THANK YOU to student leaders Vivien and Kaiden for running such a GREAT STUDENT SENATE!  THANK YOU TEACHERS and STAFF for sending your representatives!

If you could encourage your Senator to give a brief report out to your class and take feedback for the next meeting, we appreciate it. It can be whenever it fits your class time and does not need to be the next day.

Student representatives gave input on a variety of topics including:

Parental Involvement Policy (linked on our website under "Parents"; Discussed and reviewed by PTSA Board and School Site Council; Requirement under Title I)

Partners Compact (linked on our website under Students) brought to Department Chair and Leadership two weeks ago as well as PTSA and School Site Council; Requirement under Title I)

Activities at lunch they and their peers would like to see

Winter Assembly ideas for activities for the crowd

The most dynamic part came in the "Round Table" discussion where students brought up topic of interest and concerns: Senior Night for Fall sports; Shade structures and more picnic tables; Clarifying costume requirements for Halloween Monday; Red Ribbon Week; Yearbook and Senior Photos.

Thank you again for your support of this important communication and involvement piece at WHHS!

The Class of 2014 gifted to the school two outdoor bulletin boards you may have noticed on campus.  If you would like to put something on the bulletin boards on behalf of students on campus, please submit them one week before you want them posted, to Shari Rebello, fabulous receptionist in the front office. Our ASB Commissioner of Publicity will pick them up and post them for one week.

Student Clubs on Campus and a schedule of their meeting times are linked on our website  Please remember that if you are an Adviser, beyond allowing students to meet in your classroom at lunchtime, if they want to conduct a fundraiser or have a question about "how" something is done on campus, you are the information liaison for them. In most cases you can send them to the ASB leadership for general questions, fund raising questions goes to our terrific new Finance Tech Taylor Hallahan, and there is a Club Adviser Responsibilities list available from ASB as well. We so appreciate your willingness to support and sustain our students in all manner and fashion of Clubs! We KNOW the more CONNECTED students are to school, the likelier they are to succeed! Thank you for your involvement and support!

As always, complete information and tons of specific content is on our website

As a Title I school, we are required to publish a PARTNERS COMPACT and a PARENTAL INVOLVEMENT POLICY and share it with all of our stakeholders for review and input. Please take a moment to read through both documents and if you have feedback, please give it to your Department Chair for our next meeting. These follow the template from the federal regulations. We welcome your additions or possible edits. Thank you.

Image result for PSAT WE DID IT!!

Dear Wolf Pack Staff,

Thank you all for your participation in the PSAT.  A big “Shout Out” to the proctors who spent additional time with students, reading PSAT materials, creating lesson plans and having a wonderful attitude through the process. A total of 427 students took the PSAT while 10 substitute teachers proctored tests, covered proctor’s prep periods or taught our non-10th grade students. If your classroom was used during this process, your contribution was appreciated.

Overall, the feedback we have received from staff and students has been positive.  Please keep a lookout for a “PSAT Feedback Survey” which should be sent to your inbox soon.  Your feedback is very important as we will discuss the responses during our Department Chair meetings and the survey data will be used as part of our WASC data.

Thank you for your teamwork!

Student Clubs on Campus: Check out the list...THANK YOU to all FACULTY and STAFF who sponsor a club. Please make sure you are telling students that they have to have an approved CHARTER with ASB in order to do ANY FUNDRAISING and ALL FUNDS raised, whether on campus or off, have to have PRIOR APPROVAL and HAVE to be deposited in the Club account in our own FINANCE office. This year's funds are meant for this year's students too. Any advertising on campus must use BLUE PAINTER'S TAPE so we don't leave a mess on our windows and buildings as well.
