National Sports Medicine Competition RESULTS  Image result for national sports medicine competition

Thank you to Ardy Riego for leading his students in this rigorous and meaningful experience! He posted the following:

Thank you to:
Kathy Worley - for letting me use her classroom to administer the exam
Corrie Biggerstaff - for helping me administer/ proctor the exam

This was our first year participating in the National Competition. There were over 3500 students from over 300 schools that competed to become eligible for the National Competition. I am happy and proud to say that our school competed among the 38 schools that qualified from California, Illinois, Michigan, Nevada, Texas, and Washington.

West Hills finished 15/18 in the Jaybird & Mais Division (Schools with 999 to 1999 students), and finished 24th OVERALL... That's Fantastic! It's a great start for our sports medicine program, and we are definitely looking to improve for next year.

Please help me congratulate the following students that participated:

Moreno Big, Caden Coyne, McKinsie Erwin, Jackie Fonseca, Elizabeth Hansen, Maya Massamiri, Kieran McClure, Jessica Rinder, Brendan Sherwin, Tyler Southwood, Ian Trivoli, Breanna Vermilyea, Cristian Willever, Halley Wisnosky, and Courtney Velazquez

Archiving Student Work: Important Senior Information

As a reminder, seniors are currently being notified regarding all outstanding fines, as well as current checkouts that are on their Destiny records.

All senior textbooks, Chromebooks, and extracurricular equipment should be checked in by Wednesday, June 8th.

If you would like to clear a fine that you previously submitted to be added to a student record (e.g., missing athletics uniform, sports gear, instrument, etc.), simply notify Finance via email jmalueg@guhsd.net that the fine should be removed. Please include the student's ID number, name, and fine you are clearing.

All STUDENTS must turn in current year textbooks to the teacher who checked them out. Current 9-10-11th graders KEEP their Chromebooks unless they are checking out of school. If they are checking out of school, please direct them to Guidance for the proper check out form and process.
