WHAT ARE UNITY DAYS?...September 13 and 14...Volunteers please wear comfortable clothes..bring a pillow to sit on if you like..the floor of the Gym is hard! There will be pizza and water for lunch so bring other items if you like.
The Unity Days program enables students to learn how to develop respectful, empowering and collaborative relationships that are safe and supportive for all. Students and staff stress Unity Days as one of the major activities that are changing their school climate in a positive way. Unity Days are building respectful relationships between all on campus. Students often leave Unity Day feeling more connected to their school and knowing they can ask for help if needed.
WHO IS INVOLVED?
450 Students (10th Grade): The Unity Day program is conducted over two school days to reach ALL 10th grade students. To comfortably accommodate students in the gym, half of the sophomore class will attend the first day, and the other half will attend on the second day.
50-100 Student Leaders: Selected 11th and 12th grade students will attend a separate training to learn how to lead small discussion groups consisting of 10 to 12 students. There are two student leaders per group.
25-50 Staff Volunteers: One staff volunteer participates in each small group as the student leaders facilitate and lead the activities.
Thank you volunteers!!

Image result for Vote   Please consider Measure BB on this year's ballot..The GUHSD Board has approved this new bond measure to continue the facilities work needed in our schools. If you live in the east county, you get to vote on this measure. WHHS has several large items on the list including upgrading all classroom technology pieces (projectors, screens, lighting), our Weight Room, replacing our artificial turf for our football field (it is at the end of it's warranty and will need replacement in the next two years at a cost of about $500,000), a retaining wall on the east access road for soil erosion; addressing the dirt under the stadium bleachers so soil doesn't "creep" onto the track area in times of rain; fixing all storm drains and much more.

As always, please see our website for a full roster of activities and information. Go Wolf Pack!
