The Unity Days program enables students to learn how to develop respectful, empowering and collaborative relationships that are safe and supportive for all. Students and staff stress Unity Days as one of the major activities that are changing their school climate in a positive way. Unity Days are building respectful relationships between all on campus. Students often leave Unity Day feeling more connected to their school and knowing they can ask for help if needed.
WHO IS INVOLVED?
430 Students (10th Grade): The Unity Day program is conducted over two school days to reach ALL 10th grade students. To comfortably accommodate students in the gym, half of the sophomore class will attend the first day, and the other half will attend on the second day.
50-100 Student Leaders: Selected 11th and 12th grade students will attend a separate training to learn how to lead small discussion groups consisting of 10 to 12 students. There are two student leaders per group.
25-50 Staff Volunteers: One staff volunteer participates in each small group as the student leaders facilitate and lead the activities.
Thank you volunteers!!
