The mission of West Hills High School is to graduate critical thinkers and problem-solvers who contribute positively to society as productive, responsible citizens.
Activities for the week:
Monday: Collab Day schedule;
(1) PTSA "Thanksgiving Pie and Coco or Coffee" in the Lounge starting at 7:15 until the pie and treats are gone. :)
(2) Suicide Prevention Workshop in B-1, @ 7:45 a.m. All employees MUST complete this training either online (and turn in your completion certificate to Ginny Bell) or in person by attending this training, signing in and staying throughout the 30-40 mins. training. All training should be done by Friday, 11/17/17 prior to our Thanksgiving break.
(3) Department Chair and Leadership Team work day 8:45 in E-8: We are working on our WASC Action Plan. Thank you to everyone who completed our "Cross-Collaboration Feedback" form. You still have time to enter your ideas. Just go to the form and let us know what type of cross-curricular ideas you would like to engage with.

Happy Veteran's Day! Thank you to all those who serve, past and present. We thank you and your families, for your service and your sacrifice.
A new edition of the West Hills Wolf Call was published earlier this week...check it out for news and information sent to our students and parents.
Thank you Period 3 teachers and staff for helping us gather and follow up with students and their parents on our Family Survey. This important information was needed to secure funding for West Hills and the entire district for next year under our Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF) adopted by the state 4 years ago. We met our goal as a District for 56.56% of parents indicating they met the criteria for socioeconomically disadvantaged. We needed 55% or better to meet our current funding status and we did that. So THANK YOU to ALL! It is a big challenge to get information returned to us from our students and we did it! 
Our Reflections Tree is looking great in the office and filled with POSITIVE energy! Thank you all participated and in having our students participate!
