What a great HOMECOMING Week! Thank you to all faculty and staff who worked with Clubs for the Homecoming Festival and to Ardy Riego and ASB for the terrific week of activities and the neat Assembly on Friday. Congrats to our Wolf Pack Football team for their win over Escondido Friday night (21-7) even with the rain, thunder and lightening delays!

We also owe everyone a huge THANK YOU for our PSAT Administration on Wednesday. Josh Reiderer sent out a detailed email and what a great opportunity for students (802 took the exam) and for us to look at our data and check in on our academic program. When those results come in, we will make sure they are public and an opportunity for faculty and staff to review the data happens.

Check out some photos from Homecoming....

California’s Tier 1 Resources: Curriculum Frameworks

Curriculum frameworks provide guidance to support teachers, administrators, community stakeholders, and publishers of instructional materials on implementing California’s content standards through examples for developing instruction and assessments that are accessible for all students.
California’s Curriculum Frameworks are developed by the IQC, formerly known as the Curriculum Development and Supplemental Materials Commission, which also reviews and recommends textbooks and other instructional materials to be adopted by the SBE. The most current curriculum frameworks can be downloaded at https://www.cde.ca.gov/ci/cr/cf/allfwks.asp.

Resource Spotlight: English Language Arts/English Language Development Framework Support

The CDE continues to develop and collect resources designed to support educators with the implementation of the California ELA/ELD content standards. The collection’s contents are all aligned with content in the ELA/ELD Framework and include resources from the CDE videos and materials from California counties and school districts, and publications from other reputable sources. Users can navigate the collection resources by grade level, or by search according to the five key instructional themes in the ELD standards. The intent of this collection is to provide educators timely resources they can use to expand the scope of the guidance in the ELA/ELD Framework and to inform professional development and instructional decisions at all schools and districts. All resources included here have been reviewed by CDE staff to ensure, to the extent possible, that they

·         were created or recommended by a reputable source;
·         have been used in classrooms, schools, or districts;
·         demonstrate evidence of positive impact or evidence of usefulness for an intended audience (e.g., students, teachers, administrators, schools, districts);
·         are timely, given current educational priorities and policy developments;
·         reference research; and
·         are aligned to current standards.
