This has been a few days. Thank you all for your collective support of one another and of students and staff as we come to grips with the loss of Jeff Armstrong. I want to say personally a huge thank you to Don Rutledge, Todd Peterson, Josh Reiderer, April Baker, John Hoadley, Chris Quarders, Sarita Pitones, Maria Lenhoff , Ginny Bell, and Shelly La Fata particularly. Fielding hundreds of questions, phone calls, details and facilitating sensitively and with great grace the last 72 hours has been a huge effort. I also want to remind everyone that we do have support services and counseling for us as employees through our benefits. Please see separate entry below for more details.
Many of us may have seen this lovely piece in the Union Tribune for Jeff, but in case you have not, just wanted to share.
As soon as we know more regarding services, we will let you know.
Flowers with card we sent to the Armstrong family on Friday from the "Heart of the Pack" donation fund. Thank you to all who have donated to that fund to make this possible.
Jeff would have LOVED this next item.....

If you see a football player on campus Monday, congratulate them as well as Coach Ash (English Dept.), Coach Kinser (ENS Dept.) and Coach Q from our Supervision staff! Go Wolf Pack! Check out the video from our web page on our Twitter feed....and here is the coverage from KUSI PPR...
