Thank you ALL for facilitating this important survey. We appreciate your patience as we try to get as much honest feedback as possible with ALL of our students! Results are used on the state Dashboard and are made public. We appreciate ALL of you who completed the Faculty and Staff survey as well. Over 1660 students completed the survey; 68 Faculty and Staff completed (out of 83 on campus full time) and almost 500 parents answered the request to give feedback. Results will be out hopefully in Spring 2019 and we will share our our results. Go Wolf Pack!

Image result for Congratulations Graduate Congratulations to our newest Learning Center Graduate Jamie Williams! Shown here with her parents, we are introducing a new tradition to celebrate graduates from our Independent Study and Fifth Year Program to highlight "You Can Do It!" Admin, Counselor Jamie Bean, along with Learning Center teacher Lucas Hondros,  and Jamie's Period 1 peers cheered her on as she received her diploma from Robin. Her picture will be posted in the Learning Center (B-4) to inspire and remind students WHY they are working online--towards their diploma!

Ardy Riego, CTE Sports Medicine and ASB Director sent this email on 11/15...just a friendly reminder:

Hello Staff,

Today and tomorrow, ASB will be delivering boxes to your classrooms to help stock the Santee Santa's PantryThe drive begins Nov 14th and ends Dec 5th. The organization asked that we focus our collection on pancake mix and syrup. This is a friendly reminder, that THIS IS NOT A CLASS COMPETITION and NO incentives will be rewarded... Except for the JOY of supporting our community during this holiday season 😁 (You are more than welcome to offer something in your own class if you would like).

MLK Canned Food Drive:

Based on recommendations from Student Senate and teachers last year, we are going to focus our 5th Period Class Competition during the MLK Jacobs and Cushman San Diego Food Drive held on Monday, January 14th through Friday, January 25th.  We will now be recognizing two divisions:
1. Total Volume (Most cans collected)
2. Per Capita (Number of items collected divided by the number of students in your class roster)

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Ardy Riego. Thank you for your time!

Interesting teaching idea....

Prop U and Measure BB funds will be at work at WHHS starting at Winter Break....

Winter Break: Guidance will be getting their first new carpet in 30 years. While no one is happy about moving everything (including all those CUME records!), having clean, new carpet will be most excellent.

The District will be working on our phone system beginning 12/19. While this is focused on our server and the phone lines internally, coming in the new year there may be new phone units in our classrooms and offices. More to come on this.

Summer will find lots of work on Phase 2 of the Air Conditioning / Chiller unit installations continuing from last year (yes..another helicopter drop is happening!) for Guidance / Library, Performing Arts and air flow improvements on the Gym side (sorry...no air conditioning here).
