SILVER W Nominations are now closed.
The Silver “W” is to recognize the seniors who have made a difference at West Hills. These are the students who have demonstrated a willingness to do whatever they can to make our school a better place for all. The selection meeting is Monday, May 13th in the Faculty Lounge at 7:45 a.m. Teachers of Seniors and any other faculty and staff who would like to attend are welcome to do so.
The selection criteria are as follows:
1. The Award will be presented to no more than 10 seniors each year.
2. Fewer than ten awards may be presented, if fewer than 10 seniors meet the criteria.
3. Selection will be based on:
a) School Service
b School Leadership
c) School Participation
d) Attitude
4. The recipient must have a minimum 2.25 grade point average on the last report before selection.
5. The recipient must not have any significant discipline referrals during their enrollment at West Hills. (Discipline records will be reviewed.)
6. All Staff members will be given the opportunity to nominate candidates.
7. The selection will be made by those who attend the selection meeting.
8. Teachers of seniors and those teachers who sponsor extracurricular clubs, groups, teams, or are class sponsors are urged to participate.
Persons who nominate a candidate will be asked to speak to that selection or have a colleague prepared to do so.

Below, you will find the list of qualified students for Pride of the Pack. This event has been put together to recognize our academic students. Please focus your attention on the first tab titled, 'Edited Combined List' to view your qualified students.
5th period teachers will be receiving the following in their mailboxes no later than Wednesday, May 15th:
- List of qualified students in their 5th period classes
- Wristbands
Distribute the wristbands to your students before you send them to the pit on Friday, May 17th @ 11:45am.
