Wednesday:  Assembly Day:  Homecoming Festival: Everyone teaches 5A and then joins us with students (optional but we sure would LOVE for as many teachers / staff to join us for building school culture and connectedness as much as possible) 5B-Lunch for our Festival in the Black Circle. Bring money if you would like to purchase food and goodies. See email from Ardy Riego with the map of activities and planned festival items.

Saturday:     Dance in the Gym,  7-10:00 p.m.; No tickets sold at the door; 
                       Students need I.D. required to enter; All Faculty and Staff welcome

To Ardy Riego, ASB and everyone who supported our "Start With Hello Week"! We had quite a few folks dressing up each day and reaching out to others.

Thank you to our terrific Guidance team for bringing us the successful UC / CSU night on September 25 in S-8. About 100 students and parents attended to learn more about the college application and admissions process.

Important dates from our Bell Schedule coming up....

Added: a second Assembly Day, Oct. 2 for Homecoming Carnival from Period 5B-Lunch.
All students got to class 5A and teachers teach 5A. Then everyone is released to Black Circle / Pit for extended lunch and Homecoming Carnival. (optional for teachers and staff). 

September 30-October 4: Homecoming Week (Spirit Days, Class Competitions, Football Game etc)




Wednesday, October 2: Homecoming Carnival: Assembly schedule--Everyone teaches 5A; Extended lunch and festival for all faculty, staff, students Period 5B through student lunch (optional for teaching faculty and staff)  but we hope you join us for part or all of this! Bring some money if you would like to support ASB and various clubs as they bring outside vending food onto campus for this special event!




Friday, October 4: Homecoming Assembly: traditional Assembly schedule. Admin will send out memo of which buildings come to first assembly, which come to second. Please look for email early this week. 

Saturday, October 5: Homecoming Dance in our Gym--all are welcome! 7-10 p.m. No Tickets sold at the door! Students need to bring valid I.D. to enter dance. 

Monday, October 14: All Faculty and Staff Meeting; 7:45-8:45, rm. S-8

Wednesday, October 16: All grade 10 & 11 students are taking the PSAT exam in our MINIMUM DAY schedule. Check out the email from VP Carrie Gaeir; Look HERE for all kinds of information regarding testing and proctoring. 

Wednesday, October 30: Student Senate; Period 5, Room S-8j

Saturday, November 2: San Diego CUE Conference at West Hills; Entire campus used; over 800 adults expected; Classrooms used by presenters; Teachers: Put away personal items if concerned / Lock up valuable items in file cabinet etc. 

San Diego CUE (Innovation in Education) is pleased to return to East County for its annual Learning Fair. The event has recently been rebranded to focus on PowerED Learning of all kinds, not just technology-based learning. 

The Fair is hosted at West Hills High School on Saturday, November 2. The registration fee is covered by SDCUE and ETS. If you are interested in attending, please complete this form
