West Hills Title I school again in 2021-22

W were notified on Friday that we qualified as a "targeted assistance" school within the Federal Title I program. This means that will will have funds to
benefit free and reduced lunch, homeless, and foster youth. This
differs from "whole school" Title I funding in that we have to
identify and track these groups of students in their academic and
social emotional progress and support next year. We will
continue to work with our Department Chair and Leadership Team, as
well as School Site Council, to create and plan for the uses of these funds (as yet undetermined). If you have a federal college loan that offers some "forgiveness" if you work at a Title I school, as of 2021-22, we will qualify.
More information to come...this is good news to have some supplemental funds to support our students again. John Hoadley remains the Assist. Principal working with Title I and School Site Council should you have any questions.

Thank you Key Club for leaving positive messages around campus last week! We appreciate YOU and all of the students who make volunteering a part of your lives!

And with those positive truths, we wish EVERYONE who celebrates a Happy Easter!
