It was a busy Friday with Dan Sutton and the World War II Living History" project going on all day in the Pit. West Hills took a team of teachers, counselors and Admin to the District UC "a-g" workshop this past week focused on looking at how our students are doing, what we as schools and a District are doing in having students have opportunities at meeting this important College and Career readiness indicator, and what needs we have for the future. High on the discussion list was a possible increase in graduation requirements to meet UC "a-g" and to serve the required 3 year science requirement for NGSS as well as additional possibilities for sites to add a second 3 week summer school again. More conversation to come, including all faculty and staff discussion for our Back to School PD in August.
