Speaking of Change....we say GOOD LUCK and FAREWELL to our GIS Victoria Catlett as she takes on a teaching position with Carlsbad High School!

A Note from Victoria to the Mighty Wolf Pack:
Thank you, West Hills, for having me as your Guidance Information Specialist and for encouraging me to become an English teacher. I am so lucky to have been a part of the Wolf Pack and cannot wait to show Carlsbad High all I've learned in both Counseling and the classroom. Big thank you's to Cece Boehme and Carrin Edwards for being the best guide teachers I could ask for. Also, lots of thanks to Carrie and Robin for their support in my path to this career and in making this move. Of course, thank you to Rodd, Jamie, Mandy, Heather, Pam, and my partner-in-crime Breezy for joining Debbie in being called my West Hills family. Curse this pandemic for me not being able to say goodbye with the hugs and gravitas I usually would! I promise to make you all proud and as my hero Tony Stark would say, "I love you 3000!"

Alpha Plus
Please see the attached list of Alpha+ award winners for Quarter 1 of the 20-21 school year (there are two tabs - sorted alphabetically and by teacher). Feel free to send a message to your winners if you'd like - the list will also be posted in next week's Wolf Call Weekly newsletter to students and families.

Students who are in Blended learning will receive their pin and card in their current Advisory/4th period class. Students who are in Distance learning can pick up their pin and card from my desk in the VP Office (B7) beginning Friday, November 6.

10th - 12th grade students who received Alpha+ for Semester 2 of the 19-20 school year can pick up their awards from my desk as well.

Thank you for your participation in the Alpha+ program!

GUHSD letter to Employees regarding Covid-19 Testing

If you would like to be tested for Covid-19, you may use your own physician, or access one of the four sites listed below that have been exclusively established by the County of San Diego for school employees. You do not need an appointment to get tested and there is no cost to you. You may be asked to provide identification that shows you work for a school district (i.e., staff ID badge). The process is quick and easy, and the turnaround time for results is estimated at 24 hours or less. Tests are conducted by a shallow nasal swab and may be self-collected by the individual while observed by a public health nurse, or may be collected by public health staff if the individual chooses. Please reach out if you have any questions. Thank you and take care.
